The staff here at Powderhorn are having a blast planning for Closing Weekend (which is next weekend). We're encouraging everyone to dress up in old school ski attire or a costume of any kind. I know for a fact there will be a Spiderman and several 70s skiers....I've even heard rumor of a penguin showing up.
You'll start to notice lots of rubber duckies floating around too. Late in the afternoon a pond forms right after the load ramp on the Take Four quad. Each day there's more rubber ducks hanging out there.
Start thinking now about your costume for closing day! I'm going to check out Mad Margret's today, see what I can find. That's on 1st street if you live in Grand Junction.
