April (Snow) Showers

Well when I'm wrong I am WRONG! Yesterday I said I thought no snow would stick to the ground due to all the wind.

I stand corrected.

Hold Onto Your Hat

Here comes the windstorm! If you have small animals you may want to put them inside. We're expecting wind gusts up to 75 mph here at the mountain. Yikes! Snow is also possible tonight but I doubt it can accumulate with the wind blowing so hard.

There's still plenty of snow on the top half of the slopes while the bottom half is starting to show mud. The snow already has a nice redish tint from the Utah dirt we received in the last wind storm. After this it may no longer be white at all!

We're Back!

The Powderhorn Team is back at the mountain after a couple weeks off. I've noticed that everyone is noticeably more tan as vacations ranged from Moab to Mexico.

But we're back and ready to plan for the 2010-11 season! First off, we have an announcement: we are welcoming Sipapu Ski Resort in New Mexico as a new season pass partner! Your Powderhorn pass will get you 3 free days at Sipapu with no blackouts. These guys have the longest season in New Mexico so plan a road trip!

Vacation Time

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that the administration offices will be closed until Monday, April 26th. If you leave a voicemail or email, we will get back to you when we return.

Otherwise we'll all be out trying to get some color on our blindingly white legs.

Spiderman

Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can. Which apparently, spiders can ski.
