Hold Onto Your Hat

Here comes the windstorm! If you have small animals you may want to put them inside. We're expecting wind gusts up to 75 mph here at the mountain. Yikes! Snow is also possible tonight but I doubt it can accumulate with the wind blowing so hard.

There's still plenty of snow on the top half of the slopes while the bottom half is starting to show mud. The snow already has a nice redish tint from the Utah dirt we received in the last wind storm. After this it may no longer be white at all!

Sipapu! Seriously??? How about somewhere worth driving to? Like crested butte or even sunlight? If one person drives for a day to go ski 200 acres at sipapu I will be surprised!

Why don't you be appreciative towards the effort that Powderhorn is making? It's a mutual agreement. The "bigger" areas like C.B. think of Powderhorn in the same way you think of Sipapu, not worth it. At least there are some choices. Last year it was only Monarch. Now there's three, next year who knows. Yes it's a long way to Sipapu, but you know the journey's half the fun.

I agree with Jake. Thanks for the networking with other areas. If you use the 4 days at Purg and mix in a couple of days at Monarch, you receive more value than the adult Powderhorn season pass cost if you bought it in March. Keep on networking Powderhorn staff and Thank You.

You are very welcome. Hopefully we'll have a couple more benefits to announce throughout the summer.
