I just got out of a meeting with the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway (very cool things planned by the way). The Forest Service gave an update that I thought would be good to pass along...
Some campgrounds are open at this time. Rangers are checking and opening more sites as conditions permit. If you'd like to start camping, call them at 242-8211 for site information (or just drive around aimlessly until you land on a good spot...that's my philosophy). The visitor center is now open 7 days/week from 9am-5pm.
This Sunday is the first official day of summer so get up to the mesa! Don't forget the Father's Day BBQ & Brew here at PH.
